The Pistachio di Bronte DOP is perhaps one of the most famous and appreciated Sicilian products in the world.
Precisely for this reason we have created a tour that allows you to get to know him better by personally going to a company that makes it. You will thus be able to appreciate its incredible taste and discover the great work behind the production and processing of the 'Green Gold of Etna'.
How our tour of the Bronte pistachio farm works
The experience can start from Taormina, Catania or neighboring towns, with the possibility of picking up the guest directly from the hotel.
If transportation is not required, a meeting point will be arranged. From here we will reach a small pistachio producer. The owner will tell us the story of the Bronte Pistachio, guiding us through his pistachio grove.
A short walk on the lava flows of Etna will allow us to closely observe the Pistachio di Bronte DOP trees. We will thus discover the secrets of cultivation and the tiring work of harvesting, which allow us to obtain a high quality product.
Lunch based on Bronte pistachios on a pistachio farm
After the visit to the pistachio grove, the farmer will prepare a lunch for us based on Bronte pistachios.
The menu will consist of
- tasting of natural Bronte pistachios
- Different types of bruschetta with cured meats and pistachio products.
- First course characterized by the original recipe of pasta with Bronte pistachio pesto and bacon.
- Second course based on mixed grilled meat with pistachio.
- Dessert, Bronte pistachio ice cream.
The menu may undergo small variations, always maintaining the high quality of the raw materials.
The experience lasts approximately 4 hours, excluding transport times.
